While photographing the 2016 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships regionals in Minneapolis tonight, I saw a lot of familiar names on the University of Florida Gators roster. I dug through our photo archives and found some of the girls’ photos from their elite gymnastics days. Here’s a few:

Michigan State came to Minneapolis to take on the Gophers on January 23rd, 2016. Minnesota pulled out a four tenths of a point victory, despite having to count a fall on uneven bars, mostly due to some amazing performances on floor. Here’s a few photos from the meet. Here’s some gymnastics photography from the University of Minnesota women’s gymnastics meet, featuring visiting the University of Maryland on January 16th. Minnesota won the meet, with Lindsay Mable sweeping all the events.

The first competitive meet of the year was here for the Gophers women’s gymnastics team on January 9th. Facing Iowa State, the Gophers came out ahead. Here’s some of the visual highlights.7

A wide variety of sea caves along the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore get covered with ice during the winter. These are our photos from an extremely cold day in March 2014.

Yesterday, we spent the evening canoeing on the Mississippi River, near Cottage Grove Minnesota. It was a beautiful evening in the 80’s, and the wildlife was plentiful! One of the highlights was watch a pair of eagles feed their young on one of the small islands.

Here’s some of our favorite photos from our November 2013 day trip to Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica. A black iguana, or ctenosaur, sits on a roof of a park building.
Several more great portraits of the gymnasts, I am not surprised from you. Interesting commitment and idea with your angle of the balance beam. Great timing with the inverted release and face visible on bars, my favorite. Impressive bright eyes in several photos despite the harsh overhead lighting. And so much for my powers of observation because I did not see you there but I am sure you are in several of my photos. Hope to see you next weekend!
